Roatan Dolphin Snorkel

The Roatan Dolphin Snorkel was voted the Best Excursions in Roatan! You acutually get to snorkel with 12 dolphins without restrictions on this tour. You will first take a boat over to the dolphin lagoon on a private island where you will do the dolphin encounter.  You will get in waist deep water with the dolphins and a trainer will teach you about their behaviour for 30 minutes. During this part of the excursion you will get to take photos and play with the dolphins. After learning about the dolphins and a safety briefing you can finally start the dolphin snorkel.

You will get 30 minutes of free time to snorkel with the dolphins. In this time you can free dive under them, around them and even play catch with seaweed. The center has won awards for its excellent treatment of the dolphins and they are one of two centers in the world who regularly let their dolphins out in the open ocean (where they are free to not come back if they choose).

This is free interaction so you and the dolphins can do whatever they want. They only allow 12 people MAX in the water for the  dolphin swim in order to ensure frequent interactions with many dolphins at once. Make sure you do not miss this once in a life time opportunity in Honduras! Trip includes pick up and drop off from your resort.

Kids loved it

Kids learned a lot and had so much fun snorkeling with them. The whole experience was well worth the money and time.

The dolphin snorkel was a highlight of our trip

The check in was a bit long, but the experience made up for it. The free interaction and small group size made it special.

Best thing to do on the island

A bit expensive, but worth it for the unique experience. The dolphins were playful, and the trainers provided lots of information.

Nothing like being in the water with all those dolphins

Being so close to the dolphins and interacting freely with them was unforgettable. It was well worth the time.

Cool trip, informative guides

However, we felt it was a bit overpriced for the amount of snorkeling time we got. The dolphin snorkel was good, and the dolphins were lovely.
